Dell Unveils ‘Rugged’ Laptops for Construction Workers
The new devices are designed with 11th Gen Intel CoreTM processors.
American multinational computer technology company Dell has launched a new range of construction laptops designed to operate in harsh computer-unfriendly environments.
The Latitude 5430 Rugged and the Latitude 7330 laptops have been hailed as the best Dell laptops for construction, capable of withstanding the most unforgiving building sites.
According to Dell, the 5430 Rugged is the lightest and most powerful 5G-capable, 14-inch laptop, while the 7330 is the industry’s smallest 5G-capable, 13-inch fully rugged laptop.
The term ‘fully rugged’ means the laptop meets MIL-STD-810H specifications, including drop tests from six feet, and has an IP-65 rating for water, dust, and dirt ingress protection.
The laptops come with 11th Gen Intel CoreTM processors with vPro optional.
The devices are particularly great for remote areas where so much construction happens since their connectivity is enhanced with Intel Wi-Fi 6E and optional 5G capability.
