Kubota has launched its largest compact track loader yet, the next-generation SVL97-3, revealed at the World of Concrete.

This new model boasts faster speeds, increased operating capacity, and a host of new features, setting a new standard for Kubota’s compact track loaders.

The SVL97-3 builds on the success of the earlier SVL75-3 and comes with advancements. With a rated operating capacity of 3,500 pounds, an 8% increase over its predecessor, and a top speed of 8.4 mph (up by 1.1 mph), this model is designed to boost productivity.

The hydraulic arm and bucket speeds have also been enhanced, providing a 20% increase in cycle times. Powered by a 96.4-horsepower Kubota diesel engine, it meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards.

A standout feature of the SVL97-3 is its advanced passcode-enabled keyless start system, capable of storing up to 51 unique passcodes.

The machine also includes a 7-inch LCD touchscreen display, which integrates a backup camera for added safety and ease of operation.

Additionally, the track response can be adjusted, allowing operators to fine-tune the sensitivity between controls and the machine’s hydraulics.

A first for Kubota, the SVL97-3 introduces expanded automatic downshift technology. The system shifts from high to low gear when turning or moving into a pile of material.

“You will keep the machine in high range and allow the system to downshift for you, so that you have the maximum torque available when you need it,” explained Jerry Corder, Kubota’s product manager.

Once the load is reduced, the system shifts back to high speed for smoother operation.

Operators will also benefit from the ability to monitor auxiliary hydraulic pressure via the touchscreen, preventing stalling when using high-flow attachments. The cab itself swings up for easy access to hydraulic components, with no need to remove additional panels.

The new SVL97-3 is available with either an open or enclosed cab, with the enclosed version featuring a heated air-ride seat.

The new CTL is expected to be available at Kubota dealerships soon.
