Caterpillar Marks 100 Years with Limited Edition Machines
The special machines feature a unique centennial grey paint finish.

Caterpillar, the world’s largest equipment manufacturer by sales, has launched a limited edition range of machinery to mark its 100th anniversary.
Available through selected Cat dealers worldwide, the machines feature a grey paint finish, a tribute to the original colour of Caterpillar’s first products.
“We could not have reached this historic milestone without our customers and dealers,” said Tony Fassino, Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Group President. “Since 1925, our products and services have helped improve the quality of life across the globe.”
He added that the limited-edition machines provide customers with a chance to honour Caterpillar’s rich heritage while focusing on future projects.
The limited release includes compact, small, and medium wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, and various types of excavators.

The other models being sold include the motor graders and the track-type tractors, with specific 100-year badges and commemorative interior labels. The machines will be rolled out globally across North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
“Few companies are fortunate enough to reach this milestone, and we know how we’ve succeeded,” said Fassino. “Our history of innovation, combined with the strong relationships we’ve built with dealers and customers over the past century, has been key to our longevity.”
Some of these limited-edition machines will also be displayed at select trade shows and Caterpillar’s centennial celebrations throughout the year.
Caterpillar’s journey began in 1925 when Holt Manufacturing Company merged with C.L. Best Tractor Company to create the Caterpillar Tractor Company.
From the outset, the company’s goal was to develop machines that would change the way industries operated and tackle the world’s most challenging tasks.
Caterpillar is famous for its yellow machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Over time, the company has earned a strong reputation for producing reliable, high-performance machines and has grown to be a global leader in the heavy equipment sector.
