Sindalah: First Neom Project in Saudi Arabia Opens
The project features 440 hotel rooms, 88 villas, and 218 serviced apartments.
Sindalah, the highly anticipated luxury island project unveiled by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman almost two years ago, has now officially opened, marking the first completed development within the Neom region.
The island project, which was built with the collaboration of four key contractors and a network of up to 60 subcontractors, saw a workforce of 30,000 at its peak.
Located five kilometres off the coast of Neom in north-western Saudi Arabia, Sindalah is envisioned as the gateway to the Red Sea, designed to accommodate yachts from Europe, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations.
The development, created by yachting architecture firm Luca Dini, is set to provide an exclusive experience for up to 2,400 guests daily by 2028.
Sindalah will feature 440 hotel rooms, 88 villas, and 218 serviced apartments, with bookings expected to open soon. A variety of upscale dining, hotel accommodations, and other leisure facilities are also planned for the island.
Sindalah Yacht Club
One of Sindalah’s standout features is its 86-berth marina, complemented by the opulent Sindalah Yacht Club, which boasts interiors crafted by the renowned designer Stefano Ricci. This space will be a focal point for yacht owners, crews, and their guests.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy a sprawling 5,920-metre par-70 golf course, making Sindalah a premier destination for both relaxation and sport.
“Neom chief executive Nadhmi Al-Nasr emphasised the significance of the Sindalah project, saying: “NEOM is dedicated to advancing the Kingdom’s new era of luxury tourism with the opening of Sindalah.”

He added that the project marks a major milestone in the NEOM journey, with the team eager to achieve even more ambitious goals with ongoing support from His Royal Highness.
Sindalah, he explained, provides visitors with an exciting preview of the future developments and destinations in the NEOM portfolio.
Among the firms involved in Sindalah’s construction are Nesma & Partners, who handled multiple contracts for the project, including the golf course and public safety systems.
BEC Arabia is responsible for building the 22-room Four Seasons Resort on the island.
Sindalah forms just one part of Neom’s broader vision. The region is also home to several other high-profile projects, including The Line, a 170-kilometre-long linear city, Trojena – a destination for alpine sports and adventure, Magna, a series of coastal resorts, and Oxagon, an industrial hub that is expected to play a significant role in the region’s development.
